1. Set Data Access Credentials
. Open the company that you want to convert to Sage 50.
b. Go to Main Menu -> Maintain -> Users -> Setup Security and click the Data Access /Crystal Reports tab.
c. Hit With the following login information.
d. Click the Change button and set a new password.
e. Exit Sage 50 after you change the password.
2. Download and Run Conversion Tool.
a. After you install the tool run it with administrator permission.
3. Browse and Convert the Data File.
a. Select the Sage 50 company file by clicking Browse.
b. Under Pervasive 32-bit ODBC engine DSN setup window type company name and click O.
c. Type the password for the Sage 50 company file and click Next.
d. Select the QuickBooks product you are converting the file for and click Next.
e. Check all the information on Ready to Convert window and click Convert File to start the conversion process.
f. Once you press the Convert File button, the application will start converting the file.
g. Once the process completes, open the file in QuickBooks.
4. Verify the Converted File
a. If you see any missing transactions, then make sure to check the failed transaction log file located at: C:\ USERS\ USERNAME \My Documents \Intuit \QuickBooks Conversion Tool\
