Steps to Fix QuickBooks Error H505
Step 1: Turn on Hosting for the Company File- From the desktop of your computer right-click the QuickBooks Desktop icon and select Run as Administrator.
- Go to the company information window by pressing F2 on your keyboard.
- Now from the left bottom corner of the screen select the local server information and choose the files to be hosted for the local network.
- Press and hold the Windows + R keys on your keyboard to open the Run window and type the command services.msc in the text box.
- Click the OK button or press the Enter key on your keyboard.
- Now find and right-click the QuickBooks service appearing as QuickBooks19, QuickBooks18, QuickBooks17 or QuickBooks16.
- Select Restart and exit the Services window.
- Open Windows File Manager and from the search bar at the top search for files with .nd extension.
- From the search results right-click the .nd file and select delete.
- Click Yes for the confirmation and after deleting the file open QuickBooks again.
- Visit the QuickBooks official website and download the QuickBooks File Doctor tool.
